Join Us for a Burger this August

This Burger Wellington, Chef Chetan Pangam brings a deeply personal creation to the table, a twin burger tribute inspired by his parents and their coastal hometowns. One burger honours the bold, green flavours of Goa’s iconic cafreal curry, while the other celebrates Karwar’s rich seafood traditions.

It’s more than just a meal, it’s a heartfelt nod to family, heritage, and Chef Chetan’s lifelong love of Indian cuisine.

Walk-ins and bookings welcome. Come and taste the story.

Curry Rice Papad Project

Burger 1: Harringtons beef cafreal patty, salad, housemade pickles, cheese, potato salli, and Chef Chetan’s mum’s Goan Cafreal curry sauce, served in a Clareville Bakery basmati rice kanji bun.

Burger 2: Yellow Brick Road fish, housemade pickles, Little Green Garage micro coriander, potato salli, and his dad’s Karwari coconut onion curry sauce, also in a Clareville kanji bun.

Both served with poppadum-spiced fries and pickle aioli.

Vegetarian alternative available: beef and fish replaced with a vegetable patty.

Behind the Masque

Experience an extraordinary culinary collaboration between two of the finest Indian chefs: Varun Totlani, Executive Chef of Mumbai’s Masque – ranked No.1 in India for three consecutive years, No.19 in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, and No.68 in the World’s 50 Best, and Chef Chetan Pangam, Executive Chef of Wellington’s award-winning One80° Restaurant, two-time Burger Wellington champion and New Zealand Beef and Lamb Ambassador.

For two nights only, these visionary chefs will come together to present an intimate eight-course tasting menu that celebrates the rich tapestry of Indian cuisine, reimagined with local New Zealand ingredients. The menu is a heartfelt journey inspired by Chef Chetan’s recent travels to India and Chef Varun’s first time in Aotearoa, blending tradition and innovation with nostalgic flavours, personal stories, and bold techniques.

Each guest will enjoy a specially crafted cocktail on arrival, with optional wine pairings available for purchase during the evening.

🏆We’re the winner, again!

To celebrate winning Visa’s Wellington on a Plate: Burger Wellington 2024,

we’re bringing back last year’s winner and hosting a Burger Off where you’ll get the chance to taste the Goan Chicken and Nawabi Galouti burgers again.

Both burgers will be available for dinner and every diner will get a chance to vote for their favourite and be in the draw to win prizes!

Prizes to be won:
